Understanding what a dohar is and how it differs from a comforter/quilt can seem confusing. The word Dohar is derived from “ Dohrana”, which means “to repeat,” thus pointing to the layering aspect of its construction.
A dohar is a lightweight blanket made by stitching two to three cotton sheets together layered with cotton in between those sheets.
